As an artist you have traditional ways of earning a living such as painting and sculpting. However, I’m here to tell you about art side hustles you haven’t thought of yet. Because sometimes the traditional route isn’t for you maybe you’re more curious or want to expand on what’s possible. I’m here to give you practical help on this topic.

1. Do Boardgame design.

For starters you can begin by exploring boardgame design. One of my friends is taking this route and so am I. In fact you don’t have to go at boardgame design on your own completely. BRUSHOBi is a multi-purpose painting card game that comes semi blank leaving you room to design your own boardgame around it. First you design the pieces and board of your boardgame and your customers can order cards of BRUSHOBi separately to fit in your game. Or you can include packs of BRUSHOBi cards in your boardgame as they are being manufactured by you. This will take some creativity and practical planning to implement. 2. Draw monsterized caricature art of your customers.

You’ve heard of caricature art at fairs and birthday parties? Well welcome to the world of monster caricature! 3. Draw custom and original monster art.

Who doesn’t love monsters? You see them in comics, books, movies, everywhere! Artists who can draw custom and original monster art I believe have a future.
